QK, Desafío, Osadía, Soul Dance, No ni na, Mar de Plata and Aquí hay Tomate joined the Corte Salinera.

Last Sunday, the streets of Torrevieja were filled with colour, magic and excitement during the latest edition of the Summer Parade, organised by the Department of Festivals, which wound its way along Ramón Gallud Street from the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Centre to Patricio Pérez Street.

The parade began with two processions of Moors from the “San Francisco de Asís” Association of Moors and Christians in Crevillent—long-standing participants in that town’s Moors and Christians festival, which has been declared a Festival of International Tourist Interest—accompanied by marching bands and a contingent from the Hoguera Molinos del Calvario in Torrevieja.

Next, as the Carnival troupes arrived at a packed Ramón Gallud, they showed off their finest costumes: QK, Desafío, Osadía, No ni ná and Aquí hay tomate. Of course, our spectacular 2023 Carnival Kings and Queen were there with the Soul Dance troupe: Edurne Vera (Children’s Queen), Óscar Torregrosa (Carnival King) and Sara Fernández (Senior Queen), all wearing their spectacular costumes.

Once again, the centre of Torrevieja was filled with light, colour and music, but above all with lots and lots of joy, thanks to the hundreds of performers who, as always, gave their all with their dances, choreography and stage performances.  The thousands of people who thronged the streets once again enjoyed the best of our city’s festivals, the Torrevieja Carnival.
