The Torrevieja Carnival Cultural Association has officially published the rules governing the selection of the Adult Queen, Children’s Queen and King of the 2027 Torrevieja Carnival, one of the most important events in the carnival programme.

The aim of this call for entries is to continue promoting the cultural, artistic and tourist aspects of a festival which, year after year, brings together thousands of participants and visitors, establishing itself as one of the city’s most prominent celebrations.

The Adult Queen category is open to women who have turned 18 in 2026, whilst the Junior Queen category is open to girls aged between 7 and 12. As for the King category, it is open to all boys aged 7 and over; legal guardians’ consent is required for minors.

All entries must be submitted on behalf of troupes, groups or as individuals, and must meet the requirements set out in the rules. In addition, each participant must provide a video presentation, which will form part of the assessment process.

The registration period will run from 17 March until 5 April 2026 at 11.59 pm. Applications, together with the relevant video, must be sent to the email address provided by the organisers.

Once the registration period has closed, the Selection Days will begin, during which the candidates will take part in various activities before a specialist panel comprising professionals from the world of carnival. This process will result in the selection of the individuals who will hold the titles during the 2027 Carnival.

Being crowned Queen or King of the Torrevieja Carnival is a great honour, but also a significant responsibility, as they will be required to represent the carnival at numerous official functions, parades and events throughout their reign. Furthermore, the Association provides financial support for the design and creation of the costumes, one of the most spectacular and iconic elements of this celebration.
