The Department of Festivals, in collaboration with the Torrevieja Carnival Association, has decided that the traditional Summer Parade will not form part of this year’s festival programme; it had been scheduled to take place on 15 August.

The decision is primarily due to the high temperatures typically recorded at that time of year, with the aim of ensuring the safety and well-being of both participants and members of the public.

Added to this is the fact that, on the very same night, Leiva’s concert is taking place as part of the Brilla Torrevieja festival, as well as the traditional San Roque festivities, circumstances which require significant security, traffic management and coordination of personnel.

Torrevieja Town Council would like to thank residents, organisations and visitors for their understanding, and reiterates its commitment to continuing to promote festive activities that can be held under the best possible organisational conditions.
